Metro Police: Arrest in Vienna Carjacking
Darian Robinson was apprehended in Baltimore County. He faces several charges in Nov. 12 incident.

Metro Transit Police have arrested a suspect in the armed carjacking and abduction at the Vienna Metrorail Station on Nov. 12.
Darian Robinson was arrested without incident early Thursday morning in Baltimore County, Md. Robinson will face several charges, including abduction, carjacking, use of a firearm and more.
Police claim Robinson approached a female motorist at the station at 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 12. The suspect reportedly displayed a handgun and forced the victim to drive him into Maryland, stopping at several establishments in Prince George’s County to withdraw cash and make purchases.

The victim was released after 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 13 at the New Carrollton Metrorail Station. She was not injured in the incident.

Subsequent investigation, including information from the public, led detectives to Robinson, according to a Metro Police release.
Robinson is being held in Baltimore pending extradition to Virginia.
Fairfax County Police released photos last week regarding a second carjacking that took place at 3000 Nutley St., near the Vienna Metro station on Nov. 7.
