Pet Pig Bites Owner, Trash Man Too Loud: Vienna Crime Report

Vienna's crime report for the past week includes a pet pig that bit its owner, and a trash man who began his job a little too early.

VIENNA, VA—The Vienna Police Department responded to a variety of incidents reported the week of Oct. 19-25, including a pet pig that bit its owner and a trash man who began his job a little too early.

Around noon on Oct. 19, a resident in the 600 block of Tazewell Road, NW, told police she had been bitten by her pig, which promptly was placed on a 10-day quarantine. No word on the owner's injuries.

Then, on Oct. 22 in the 500 block of Maple Avenue, an officer spotted a trash truck emptying dumpster before 7 a.m. The officer dutifully issued the driver, a 49-year-old Bristow man, a summons for a noise violation.
