This is not the first dangerous, late-night incident to take place in this particular shopping center. In January 2014, a shooting occurred outside Jay’s Lounge, resulting in the hospitalization of one victim who suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his leg.

Local residents have now begun to take notice of this potentially dangerous area in town, and many have already begun to vocalize their frustrations surrounding the troubled area.

“I never hear anything good about that place,” commented Facebook follower Melissa Britton.

“I love that we now have a Cookout restraunt but the few times that we have been the parking lot has been trashed. Why would people do that to there own community,” commented fellow frustrated Facebook follower Kristin Phillips Rose. “Would they want someone to throw trash in their yard every time they drive by? People don’t have enough respect for themselves nowadays so why would they respect someone else’s property. Makes me sick.”
