Vienna Church To Hold Morning of Service On MLK Jr. Day
The Church of the Good Shepherd will have community service activities for all ages.

From Good Shepherd Church: Join in the “Morning of Service” to help members of our community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 21 at The Church of the Good Shepherd (United Methodist) in Vienna. The event from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will include a variety of hands-on service projects for all ages. The church is located at 2351 Hunter Mill Road in Vienna.
“Our church is about helping others, and this is our first Martin Luther King Jr. Morning of Service,” said Pastor Eric Song. “We invite all ages to help with these service activities that will assist local families and schools and honor the legacy of Dr. King.”
Mariella Walker, who is coordinating the church’s event, noted that the Morning of Service also “is a great way for middle- and high-school students to accrue volunteer hours.”

Community members also are invited to drop off canned food and gently used children’s books (for details on needed foods see www.GoodShepherdVA.com).
