Vienna Farmers Market Reopens On June 13

The Optimist Club of Vienna has outlined guidelines for operating during the coronavirus pandemic.

VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Farmers Market will open for the season on June 13 with coronavirus-related safety guidelines. It is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at the Vienna Community Center.

Unlike in past years, the market asks customers to keep interactions to a minimum and avoid browsing at the market. Pre-orders are encouraged, although on-site purchases are allowed. Cash purchases aren't encouraged, and customers should swipe their own credit or debit cards.

One customer at a time will be allowed at a vendor tent while maintaining six feet of distance from others. Vendors must display products on a back table instead of a place where customers can touch them. On-site samples and food consumption isn't allowed; prepared foods can be packaged for takeout.
