Vienna Schools Warn Families of Suspicious Man in Silver Sedan
Middle-aged white male driving silver older sedan reportedly opened car door, asked young girl to "come here" and "I won't hurt you."

School officials from Colvin Run Elementary School, Thoreau Middle School and Marshall Road Elementary are warning families about a suspicious man who reportedly asked a Shouse Village neighborhood girl to get into his car last weekend.
The incident took place last Saturday night, according to a letter that Colvin Run sent to parents:
“At around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, a young Shouse girl was crossing Towlston Rd. from the tot lot to Schubert Ct. when a man (white, middle aged, gray hair) in a gray/silver older sedan asked her to “come here.” He opened the driver door and said “I won’t hurt you.” She ran the other way and he drove away down Towlston toward Wolftrap.

Marshall Road Elementary noted that parents should talk to their children and give them advice about how to stay safe:
“Please talk with your son or daughter and urge him or her to always be aware of their surroundings and to avoid any seemingly dangerous situations. Students should travel in pairs to and from school and bus stops whenever possible and immediately report to an adult any suspicious cars or people they may encounter.”
