• FCSO assist in the investigation of a stabbing in Warrenton and seek information (theriver953.com) — A woman died from stab wounds after being found unresponsive in a pickup at Tippy's Tacos on Shirley Avenue, and Warrenton Police and Fauquier County deputies are actively investigating. Officers believe the incident is tied to an earlier reported stabbing on Maner Court, and they're asking anyone with information to call WPD at 540-347-1107.
   

• FAA set to test AI air traffic system at DC area airports, reports say (fox5dc.com) — The FAA is about to test a new SMART AI system to manage air traffic, and its soft launch will be run from the Air Traffic Control System Command Center in Warrenton. Over a 90-day pilot, the platform will send recommendations to Dulles, BWI, and Reagan National to reduce delays, while human controllers still make all safety decisions.
   

• The Rappahannock-Rapidan Health District Encourages You to Protect Yourself from Respiratory Viruses (virginia.gov) — From its Warrenton office, the Rappahannock-Rapidan Health District is urging residents to get up to date on flu, COVID-19, and RSV protection as respiratory virus season begins. Local health leaders stress vaccines, staying home when sick, and good hygiene, especially for older adults, pregnant people, and infants, and encourage you to talk with your provider about which 2026–27 shots you need.
