• First responders team up to quash brush fire in King and Queen (pilotonline.com) — West Point Volunteer Fire Department crews helped battle an early-morning mulch fire at a remote commercial site in neighboring King and Queen County, supplying a tanker and brush truck. Firefighters from several departments spent about three hours on scene, using roughly 6,000 gallons of water to bring the blaze under control without injuries.
