• West Point enacts new electronic-bike ordinance, violators can be fined $25 (dailypress.com) — West Point has adopted a new e-bike safety ordinance that sets rules for riders and allows fines of up to $25 for violations. The law, approved August 25, requires helmets for riders 14 and under, bans texting and dual earphones while riding, and emphasizes yielding to pedestrians. Police are urging parents to review the rules and stress safety with their children.
