Prince William County Primary Voter Guide: What’s On The Aug. 4 Ballot

Prince William County voters can begin casting ballots for Virginia's primary election on June 18. Here's who is on the ballot.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — On Aug. 4, voters in Prince William County and Manassas Park will vote in Republican primaries for one of 2 congressional districts and one race for U.S. Senate.

VA 7 Candidates

Voters in Virginia's 7th Congressional District can choose from among 3 candidates running to represent the GOP in the November general election.

On the Democratic side, incumbent Rep. Eugene Vindman has secured his party's nomination.

VA 10 Candidates

Voters in Virginia's 10th Congressional District also have three candidates to choose from. Those candidates are:

How To Vote Early

Early voting for the primaries begins on June 18. Voters are not registered by party in Virginia, so any registered voter can cast a ballot in the primary they choose.

Below is information on early voting dates and how to vote in person and by mail in Prince William County.

Key Early Voting Dates

Early voting opens on June 18. The last day to vote early in person is Aug. 1. The last day to request a ballot to be mailed to you, to register to vote or to update your voting information is July 24.

Voters may register after July 24 and vote with a provisional ballot. For information about Same-Day Voter Registration, visit the Virginia Department of Elections website.

Early Voting In Person

Early voters have a few options for in-person voting.

From June 18 to July 24

In-person early voting will begin on Thursday, June 18, at the county’s main Office of Elections.

Hours: Weekdays from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., open late on Wednesdays until 7:00 p.m.

Sundays, July 19 and July 26: 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Saturdays, July 25 and August 1: 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Early voting will be closed on Friday, June 19, for the Juneteenth Holiday and on Friday, July 3, for Independence Day.

From July 25 to Aug. 1

Between these dates, residents can vote early in person at the following locations. The hours below will apply to all.

Hours: Weekdays from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., open late on Wednesdays until 7 p.m.

Sundays, July 19 and July 26: 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Saturdays, July 25 and August 1: 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Early Voting By Mail

Prince William County voters can also vote early by mail. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is 5 p.m. on July 24. Voters can apply to vote by mail online through the Virginia Department of Elections, download the mail ballot request application, or pick up an application in person at 9250 Lee Ave. Suite 1, in Manassas.

Ballots can be returned to any Prince William County voting location during early voting, to any Prince William County polling place on election day until 7 p.m., or by mail as long as the envelope is postmarked by Tuesday, Aug. 4.
