About Host an International Student for Pierce College
Pierce College International Education is currently seeking hosts to provide a happy, healthy, and enriching cultural exchange with our students. Hosts need to have an open heart, value new cultures, and desire to help teach about their culture and experiences. We are looking for hosts for both short term and long term for the Puyallup and Fort Steilacoom (Lakewood) Campuses.
Host families are required to:
- provide a bed, bedding, desk, lamp, clothing storage, fully functioning window and internet access
- provide a safe hospitable living environment
- Live within a 45 min bus ride (limit to 1 transfer) to campus; or be willing to provide transportation
- Provide 2-3 meals per day (full hosting plan only)
All hosts in our program receive a stipend to cover the cost of hosting students.
