Electric bus manufacturer faces litigation, moves operations west (wvmetronews.com) — A Charleston attorney says GreenPower's South Charleston electric bus plant has shrunk to just nine workers as the company shifts its North American base to New Mexico. With unused buses under federal safety review and former employees winning default judgments in Kanawha County, the situation raises serious questions about promised jobs and long-term economic benefits for the Charleston area. 
2. Ex-delegate Pritt pleads not guilty to federal charges of alleged child sexual exploitation (westvirginiawatch.com) — A former Fayette County delegate and teacher has pleaded not guilty in federal court in Charleston to charges related to alleged sexual exploitation of a minor. The case, which includes accusations of online grooming and classroom encounters, has already led to his resignation from the House of Delegates and suspension of his teaching certification.
3. Public Comments Open For W.Va. Military Hall Of Fame (wvpublic.org) — West Virginians are being asked to weigh in on new rules for the state's Military Hall of Fame, with comments accepted by mail or email through Sept. 11. The Veterans Assistance office in Charleston is collecting feedback and stories to help shape how nominees are selected and honored, giving local families a direct way to recognize their veterans' service.
4. Governor Morrisey Announces More Than $2.3 Million Funding Opportunity to Expand Medical Transportation Capacity Across West Virginia (wvdn.com) — Announced from Charleston, a new $2.34 million Rural Health Transformation grant will help expand non-emergency medical transportation across West Virginia, especially in rural areas. Local transit agencies and healthcare-linked providers can apply for funding to add vehicles, drivers, and routes so more residents around Charleston and beyond can reliably reach doctor's appointments and essential care.
5. W.Va. AG defends Hope Scholarship, questions Kanawha's policy for special needs students (wchstv.com) — From his Charleston office, Attorney General JB McCuskey is challenging Kanawha County Schools' handling of special education services for families using the Hope Scholarship voucher program. He's urging state education leaders to review county policies, direct corrective notices, and ensure eligible Charleston-area students aren't denied services if they return to public schools.
