• Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country presented by Groove in the Gorge (wvnstv.com) — A major outdoor concert is coming to The Outpost at the New River Gorge in Fayetteville on Saturday, Oct. 10, with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country headlining. Locals can expect food trucks, drinks, shuttles from Adventures on the Gorge, extended quiet hours, and a family-friendly atmosphere, plus optional rafting packages that pair a New River trip with the evening show.
   

• Prescribed Burns Planned for New River Gorge National Park and Preserve (nps.gov) — New River Gorge National Park and Preserve plans prescribed burns this fall, including one in the Arrowhead Trails System just 2.5 miles southeast of Fayetteville. Weather-dependent burns between Oct. 15 and Dec. 31 may temporarily close Arrowhead and Craig Branch trails, helping reduce wildfire risk and support healthier native plant communities around local recreation areas.
