Name released after fatal motorcycle crash (wsaz.com) — Huntington officials have identified 27-year-old resident Trevor Cyrus as the motorcyclist killed in an early-morning crash on the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police say he struck a parked vehicle, and they're asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has surveillance footage from the area to contact the Huntington Police Department's traffic specialist or anonymous tip line.

Flock camera guardrails passed at Huntington City Council (wchstv.com) — Huntington residents just saw city council approve new guardrails on the controversial Flock license-plate camera system, limiting how data can be used and shared. Despite the changes, many locals remain strongly opposed and are gathering signatures to put a repeal question on the ballot, with about 1,600 of the 4,000 signatures they need already collected.

Marshall Health Network expands oncology team with two new physicians (wvnews.com) — Cancer patients in Huntington now have more local options, as Marshall Health Network has added two oncologists serving the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The new physicians will run a survivorship clinic in Huntington and also see patients in Point Pleasant, expanding access to specialized cancer and blood-disorder care close to home.

Former Cabell County EMS director files age discrimination lawsuit (wowktv.com) — A former Cabell County EMS director based in the Huntington area has filed an age discrimination lawsuit against the county commission, a commissioner, and EMS. He claims he was forced to retire in 2025 because of his age, while county leaders say they're confident in their decision and are limiting comments due to ongoing litigation.
