New multi-purpose field already being used by public in Princeton (wvpress.org) — Princeton residents now have access to a new multipurpose athletic field near Bee Street and an expanded Princeton Mini Golf & Golf Sim complex, both already drawing strong crowds. The mini-golf course stays open through Oct. 31, while golf simulators and other amenities, including a pondside restaurant and walking track, will continue serving visitors into the winter.

3. 3,000th robotic-assisted joint replacement completed at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital Orthopedic Center (wvnstv.com) — WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital has reached 3,000 robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements, using advanced Mako technology right here in Princeton. Surgeons say the program, launched in 2021, lets local patients access top-tier joint replacement care and rehab without traveling hours away, with the hospital earning multiple quality recognitions for its orthopedic outcomes.
   

4. Conn-Weld Industries visits Mercer County Technical Education Center for National Manufacturing Day (wvva.com) — A Princeton-based manufacturer, Conn-Weld Industries, visited Mercer County Technical Education Center in Princeton for National Manufacturing Day, showing students hands-on welding demos and career options. As one of Mercer County’s largest employers, the company used games and demonstrations to connect local teens’ tech skills with real manufacturing jobs in southern West Virginia.
   

5. Community members learn a new language and culture (wvva.com) — A Princeton-based Spanish tutor and Maranatha Christian Academy teacher is inviting local residents to learn Spanish while exploring Chilean culture during Hispanic Heritage Month. Community members can call the school to sign up for her classes, which focus on building new language skills and cultural understanding close to home.
