1. Laramie County health and food inspections (8/21/26–8/27/26) (capcity.news) — Cheyenne diners can now see how their favorite spots fared in recent health inspections from Aug. 21–27, with detailed notes on violations from sanitizer issues to food temperatures. The Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department stresses education over punishment, but several popular restaurants and mobile home communities still drew multiple red and noncritical violations. 
2. Wyoming upcoming events Aug 31 (lemonwire.com) — Cheyenne music fans can catch Bonnie Raitt with Jon Cleary at the Cheyenne Civic Center on Saturday, Sept. 5. A statewide roundup also highlights concerts and events in Casper and Jackson between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6, with links to buy tickets or submit your own events.
3. Wyoming's First 1-Mile Horse Track Sprinting Toward October Opening In Cheyenne (cowboystatedaily.com) — A new 1-mile horse racetrack is racing toward an Oct. 2 opening just 10 miles east of Cheyenne, with barns for 400 horses awaiting a key Sept. 1 inspection. If state inspectors sign off, Bally's Cheyenne Park will launch Wyoming's first true mile-long oval, bringing a short fall racing season, betting, and new tourism dollars to the Cheyenne area.
4. Saratoga man receives liver transplant from his son (wyomingnews.com) — A Saratoga electrician is back at work after receiving a lifesaving partial liver transplant from his son, who has since returned to his home in Cheyenne and even resumed golfing. The family shares their journey, encourages organ donation, and offers to talk with others facing similar medical decisions.
5. Wyoming Launches Crackdown on Squatters as Police Begin Removing and Arresting Offenders (slaynews.com) — A recent confrontation near Cheyenne shows how Wyoming's new anti-squatting law lets police quickly remove alleged squatters when owners prove they don't belong there. Two people were arrested at a Cheyenne-area home and now face multiple felony charges, as lawmakers say they aimed to spare property owners months-long eviction battles over illegally occupied houses.
