MD Fireworks July 4th, 2016: Complete Schedule and Events Guide (Updated)
We've created a list of the biggest patriotic explosions for the 4th of July in Maryland. Three shows rescheduled.

Fireworks will continue in some Maryland cities this week after shows were scrubbed on July 4 because of rain.
Two cities will hold their fireworks shows tonight, July 5, and one has moved its show to Friday.

The cities and new dates are:
Gaithersburg: Activities were held indoors Monday, but the fireworks display was rescheduled for Friday, July 8, at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Ave. The half-hour show begins at dusk, about 9:30 p.m.

College Park (University of Maryland, 7965 Baltimore Ave.): Fireworks have been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5, at the University of Maryland in parking lot 1. Fireworks will begin at dusk - about 9 p.m.
Greenbelt (Buddy Attick Lake Park, 555 Crescent Road): Fireworks have been rescheduled for dusk on July 5. Drum circle will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a soggy Independence Day and evening. Gaithersburg has moved its events indoors, while two Montgomery County-hosted fireworks shows in Germantown and Kensington are on schedule as planned for 9:15 p.m.
Also, Rockville still planned to shoot off fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
Despite the rain, the Bel Air Fourth of July parade and fireworks will go on, the Bel Air Police Department reported at 5:30 p.m.
And Annapolis officials canceled their Monday evening parade, although the city's fireworks show is still set -- so far.
In Columbia, the Fourth of July fireworks show on Lake Kittamaqundi will go on but may be set off earlier than the scheduled 9 p.m. start time, according to county officials.
Westminster canceled its Monday night fireworks; a make-up date has not yet been set.
Independence Day: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 81. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible

Most fireworks are not legal in Maryland. Check with your local municipality for laws regarding fireworks.

- Bel Air: Costume contest, "Uncle Sam Says," Watermelon Eating Competition, evening parade and fireworks.
- Baltimore City: Fireworks return to the Inner Harbor. Live music, followed by fireworks display.
- Baltimore County: Several firework events throughout the weekend.
- Bowie: Bowie Baysox event, including post-game fireworks.
- Columbia: Live entertainment and food vendors. Fireworks at dusk on Lake Kittamaqundi.
- D.C.: Celebration on the National Mall, fireworks viewable at several locations along the Potomac.
- Havre de Grace: Parade, concert and fireworks on July 3.
- Montgomery County: Several community events across Montgomery County.
- Perry Hall: Dinner on the lawn in Fullerton, followed by fireworks on July 4.
- Rockville: City celebration begins at 5 p.m. with peace gathering.
