Alameda Police Arrest 4 Laptop Thieves

Police have worked hard to identify and capture thieves, including the release of surveillance photos. BREAKING

ALAMEDA, CA — Determined work by Alameda Police detectives has resulted in the arrest of four alleged laptop thieves accused of snatching computers from coffee shops in Alameda. Similar thefts have been reported elsewhere around the East Bay.

The brazen thieves snatch laptops from Starbucks and other shops. Some of the computers are left unattended as the owners walk around, but there have been reports of laptops snatched as the owners worked on them.

The arrests were made between Oct. 19 and Nov. 2. Police report that "other suspects have been identified and more arrests are expected."
