Alameda Police Lend A Hand In North Bay Fires

Alameda Police gladly pitched in when the call came for Mutual Aid. They know this island will receive help if it's ever needed.

ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda Police officers and their equipment are in the North Bay, lending a hand and keeping looters away from burned out and evacuated neighborhoods.

They are also helping with traffic control and evacuations, should more be needed.

According to APD, "On a personal note, one of the sergeants who is responding used to live in Santa Rosa. Ironically, he is actively patrolling his old neighborhood and unfortunately his old home has burned to the ground. He took some pictures and forwarded it his now grown kids, as that was the home they grew up in."
