Alameda Backyard Growers Monthly Meeting: "Mushrooms"

Whether you grow, forage, or purchase your mushrooms, they can add incredible flavor and texture to dishes. Presenter Lisa Gorman is a wild edible mushroom enthusiast and active member of the Mycological Society of San Francisco (www.mssf.org). Early fall is a great time to learn which mushrooms are particularly tasty and how mushrooms contribute to soil richness!

ABG meetings are held monthly on second Thursdays and are open to the entire community. Monthly meetings offer gardeners of all experience levels an opportunity to talk about what's growing in their gardens and exchange gardening tips. Meetings are also a great time to drop off fruit and produce donations for the Alameda Food Bank.

Email us at alamedabackyardgrowers@gmail.com to join our email distribution list. Meeting topics for October 13, November 10 and December 8 will be announced soon!
