On Saturday, September 10, Alameda Backyard Growers will be hosting the Alameda Urban Farm Tour and Tomato Tasting as a benefit to support our Alameda Fruit Gleaning Initiative.
The farm tour will feature three Alameda urban farms and showcase chickens, bees, an urban food forest, French intensive vegetable and fruit production, rainwater and greywater harvesting, mushroom cultivation and much more. Meet the farmers and learn how to convert your yard into a farm that will supply you with abundant fresh produce. At the last garden, there will be different varieties of tomatoes for you to taste.
Cost: $10 suggested donation, but no one turned away for lack of funds
