BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse Surprises Dublin Police Officers With Lunch

The gesture was part of a nationwide effort to give back to the community on National Random Acts of Kindness Day.

DUBLIN, CA — They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, but today in Dublin, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse team members proved that old adage wrong. General Manager Joseph Ramirez and team members Danika Peterson and Amy Truong delivered a free lunch to the employees at Dublin Police Services Friday at noon.

Team members from all 188 BJ’s restaurants nationwide delivered lunch to police, firefighters and dispatchers as part of National Random Acts of Kindness Day, the company said in a statement. The kind gesture is part of BJ’s effort to honor first responders.

“This is the least we can do to give back to the men and women who work around the clock to keep us safe,” Greg Trojan, president and CEO of BJ’s Restaurants, said in a statement. “Last fall, we made a pledge to recognize the unsung heroes who may not make headlines, but who deserve a ‘thank you’ for serving our communities every day. We created the Buy a Hero a Beer SM program to allow our customers to join us in that mission.”
