K1 Speed Indoor Karts Open In Dublin

DUBLIN, CA — A new indoor go-kart racing center is open in Dublin. The location boasts a large race track, lobby and snack area. The facility decorated with classic racing memorabilia. K1 Speed hosts birthday parties, team building and corporate events. The privately owned Irvine-based business has 35 locations throughout the United States. K1 offers gift cards.

K1 Speed is located at 6400 Sierra Ct Suite B in Dublin. Also in Dublin, a second PetSmart location has opened in the Fallon Gateway shopping center.

In Livermore, a new burger restaurant and bar recently opened. Aviation Rooftop Bar and Kitchen will celebrate its grand opening on September 27. The eatery features burgers and fries, vegetarian fare, beer, wine and craft cocktails, according to the Aviation website.

Livermore isn't the only Tri-Valley city with a new bar. In Danville, the Auburn Lounge wine bar replaced the AuburnJames Winery Tasting Room on Hartz Avenue. The wine bar, which is under new ownership and management, was completely rebranded and recently debuted with a fun 1930s-themed speakeasy style.

A new 99 Cents Only Store opened in Livermore on August 17 and hundreds lined up for free ice cream sandwiches at the grand opening of the CREAM Ice Cream store in Livermore.

A new restaurant and gastropub opened in August. Owned by Tri-Valley residents John and Jenny Samples, Inc 82 Brewing’s branding concept was inspired by the year Dublin was incorporated- 1982. The eatery features local microbrews and its own label. Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que will be moving into the building previously occupied by the Dublin Elephant Bar. The building has been empty since the Elephant Bar closed in 2016.

In Pleasanton, the Arby’s fast-food restaurant on Owens Drive closed and Starbucks plans to move in, city officials said.
