Teen Killed at El Cerrito BART Station Wednesday Identified
The 17-year-old boy was a Richmond resident, according to officials with the Contra Costa County coroner's office.

A teenage boy who was struck and killed by a BART train at the El Cerrito Plaza station Wednesday morning was identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office today as 17-year-old Miko Pantoja.
Pantoja, a Richmond resident, was hit by a train shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and died on the tracks, according to BART. The station was closed for about three hours while police investigated and recovered Pantoja’s body.
