Victims Followed Home By Robber | Cold Case: Fremont, East Bay Crime

EAST BAY, CA — There were shooting deaths in two East Bay communities this week; a person was killed running across the freeway; police spent three weeks identifying and tracking down an armed robber who following their victims homes; and police need help with a cold case.

1 Killed, 1 Injured In San Leandro Shooting

• The shooting was reported at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Man Shot To Death In Fremont

• The victim was found shot on Walnut Avenue. Detectives are asking residents and businesses to check surveillance video.

Armed Robber Who Followed Victims Home Arrested: Police

• Investigators spent 3 weeks identifying the suspect, tracking them down and coordinating an arrest with US Marshals and the sheriff's office

Murdered Woman Still Unidentified 38 Years After Her Body Was Found

• Do you recognize the woman in this drawing? The victim was found in the wetlands in Newark, according to police.

Pedestrian Running Across I-580 Struck, Killed

• The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police Seek Victim In Assault Case Following Suspect's Arrest

• Police are hoping that the unidentified woman assaulted by a man last week will come forward.

Murder Charges Filed Against Suspect In 2 Separate Shootings

• The two shootings occurred on two separate days in the same San Leandro location.

Charges Filed Against Suspect In USS Hornet Burglary

• The unidentified man was arrested by officers with the Alameda Police Oct. 17 while burglarizing the USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier Museum.
