Hillary Duff Is LA's Latest Celebrity Burglary Victim

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Hillary Duff's North Hollywood home was burglarized Thursday after she posted she vacation photos on Instagram. The singer-actress and star of "Younger," "Lizzie McGuire" was in Canada when the break-in occurred.

She's the latest celebrity victim in a string of burglaries targeting stars and athletes in the Los Angeles area. police have not identified a link between the celebrity thefts. Duff was reportedly in Canada when the break-in occurred.

Detectives are investigating the burglary that occurred at the North Hollywood home of Hilary Duff while the singer-actress was out of town, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Officer Drake Madison said the burglary was being investigated by the LAPD's Commercial Crimes Division, which has been looking into a rash of break- ins at celebrities' homes this year.

Police did not disclose what was taken from Duff's home, but TMZ reported that jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was stolen.
