House Fire Causes $100K In Damages In Lake Elsinore

Two residents were displaced in the Monday blaze.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA – A residential fire today in Lake Elsinore caused an estimated $100,ooo of damage and displaced two adults, according to officials.

The Riverside County Fire were called at 12:19 p.m. to the 30000 block of Via Lakistas where a single-story home was ablaze with heavy smoke and flames visible from the attic, said spokesperson April Newman of CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters.

Two residents were displaced, but did not need assistance from the American Red Cross, Newman said.

The fire was contained in about 20 minutes, and crews planned to remain on scene for approximately three hours, the agency said. No injuries were reported, and the fire's cause was not given.
