Coroner Releases Name of Victim in Solo-Car Crash Off I-680
The San Jose man was the sole occupant when he crashed.

A 58-year-old San Jose man died in a solo-car crash near an Interstate Highway 680 off-ramp in Fremont Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Alameda County coroner’s bureau. Dennis Rohrbach died in the collision in which he was partially ejected from the car, officials with the CHP and the coroner’s bureau said. CHP officials said Rohrbach did not have a seatbelt on.

Officers responded to the collision just before 10 a.m. near the off-ramp from northbound Highway 680 to Vargas Road, according to the CHP. CHP officials said Rohrbach was alone in a gold Oldsmobile sedan when he crashed.
