Man Found Dead In OC Alley; Gambling House Busted During Investigation
Six arrests were made during a homicide investigation that later led to a gambling raid in Orange County, authorities said.
STANTON, CA — Orange County Sheriff's deputies were working to identify a man found dead in an alley in Stanton on Easter Sunday in a homicide investigation that led later to a gambling raid.
The victim was found dead at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday in an alleyway near Pacific and Main streets in the city, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The victim, who was only identified as a man in his 30s, is believed to be the victim of homicide, authorities said.

While deputies were investigating the incident, they came upon a gambling house at Cerritos and Flower avenues and arrested six people who were wanted on warrant, police said.
Whether or not there was any connection between the possible homicide and the gambling house was not immediately clear, police said.
