• Aug. 30: Earthquake measuring 2.1 shakes region close to Pacifica, CA (sacbee.com) — A small 2.1-magnitude earthquake shook an area about a mile southeast of Pacifica early Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. While most residents likely didn't feel it, officials remind everyone to review basic earthquake safety steps like drop, cover, and hold on, and to report any shaking they did notice through the USGS "Did You Feel It?" form.
