David Misch; The History of Ha!

Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 6:30 pm

The Friends of the Palisades Library is pleased to present this program with David Misch, who will discuss “The History of Ha!” Based on his book, Funny: The Book/Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Comedy, David will present a survey of absolutely everything funny that’s ever happened, from ancient Greece to “Modern Family.” Mr. Misch looks at what comedy is, where it comes from, and where it’s going (oddly enough, Philadelphia).

Among David’s TV and movie credits are the multiple-Emmy-nominated “Mork and Mindy,” the Emmy-losing “Duck¬man,” the Emmy-engorged “Saturday Night Live,” and the Emmy-ineligible The Muppets Take Manhattan. David’s also a playwright, songwriter, blogger, teacher and recovered stand-up comic.
