Suspect Arrested for Shooting Last Weekend in Oakland
The suspect's name was not immediately released by police.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting in East Oakland last weekend, police said today. The shooting was reported at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the 7600 block of Hillside Street, three blocks south of the Eastmont Town Center.
Officers arrived and found a victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said. Officers who canvassed the shooting scene found shell casings on the ground and surveillance video from a nearby business showed two suspects, according to police.
A short time later, an officer spotted one of the suspects and arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, police said. The suspect’s name was not immediately released by police.
