Beware of Possible Hoax Terrorist 'Plans' on Malls, Movie Theaters: Sheriff

There are messages making the rounds warning people in the Inland Empire that "it's not over."

San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon is warning the public to beware of messages circulating the region, purporting to warn of additional terrorist plots.

Such messages, which have been posted on social media sites and passed around via text messaging, indicate that FBI intelligence has uncovered plans of an Inland Empire terrorist cell with plans to attack local malls and movie theaters.

Addressing the messages on Facebook, the sheriff called them “unsubstantiated.”
