Foggy San Francisco: Photos Of The Day
City lights through the gossamer filter of fog.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — There are some who believe that San Francisco is at its loveliest when it is shrouded in fog. Robert Heller provided this pair of photos, Including the "Golden Gate toll plaza, taken in October of 2010 at 10:03 pm as you can see by the clock. It took multiple attempts to get this one as I usually shoot in auto mode and night photography is hit or miss like that. But I really wanted the shot. I liked the way the different color lights emitted a glow enhanced by the incoming fog that San Francisco is known for."
The second shot was in "in the spring of 2014 from under the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate. While work was being done on the bridge and you can see some of the heavy equipment used in the bottom left corner."
Very creative, Robert. Thank you for sharing with Patch readers.
