SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect warm to hot conditions through midweek, with hazardous heat lingering inland, according to the National Weather Service.

"Hazardous heat conditions expected to persist inland, never leave children or pets in unattended vehicles," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Elevated fire weather conditions persist in the interior through Thursday."

In other news, a missing girl was rescued in Mexico and her father was arrested in the Baby Angelita case; antisemitic pamphlets were distributed in a Bay Area neighborhood; and a tip led police to rescue a human trafficking victim.
