- Marin County fire agencies rescued a person from a fire on a boat Friday morning in Richardson Bay.

- Luis Alberto Garcia-Vara, 24, of San Rafael, had been hospitalized since the officer-involved shooting.
San Rafael Man Embezzled Over $600K From Senior: Police
- Donald Alan Wilson, 50, of San Rafael, is suspected of embezzling more than $600,000 from a 96-year-old woman's trust account, police said.

- The investigation began in February when police started receiving complaints about drug deals in the Gerstle Park neighborhood, police said.
Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash On Highway 101 Identified
- CHP officers found the woman's body in the slow lane of northbound Highway 101, just north of the Interstate 580 transition ramp in Marin.
- Sheriff's officials said Emani Kijonni Gordon, 22, of Marin City, was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101 in Larkspur.
School Shooter Training Class At Marin County Sheriff's Office
- The four-hour School Violence and the Active Shooter class is designed for administrators, principals, faculty and staff of K-12 schools.
- A vehicle is stolen every three minutes in California, according to the CHP.
