14th Coronavirus Death Reported In Marin County
Health officials confirmed two more cases of the coronavirus and another death, bringing the county's totals to 243 cases and 14 deaths.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — Health officials on Monday confirmed two additional cases of the coronavirus and another death, bringing the county's totals to 243 cases and 14 deaths.
A total of 43 people have been hospitalized due to the virus since the county's first COVID-19 case was reported on March 8. One person remained hospitalized Monday.
To date, the majority of confirmed cases and hospitalizations have been residents older than 50 years old, according to county data. All coronavirus-related deaths have been residents 65 or older. The majority of confirmed cases, hospitalizations and deaths have occurred among residents who are male and of white, Hispanic or Asian race/ethnicity.

Marin has tested 5,970 people for COVID-19. This number includes tests conducted at the county's drive-thru testing site as well as tests conducted by commercial labs and hospitals. The number also includes the community-wide testing of Bolinas, which is the reason for the large increase, according to the county.

There have been 190 documented COVID-19 recoveries, according to county data.
