Event Details
Presented in partnership with the Sonoma Community Center, participants will explore both watercolor technique and the core principles of landscape painting, including composition, color temperature, and atmospheric perspective. The group will learn to create movement and depth in a painting and gain a new appreciation for the beauty of the surroundings through the process of close observation and careful rendering.
The class begins with quick thumbnail sketches, then each person selects one composition to focus on throughout the day. Through demonstration and individual instruction, they learn color mixing and watercolor techniques while building their painting step by step.All levels of experience are welcome.
