STAMFORD, CT — Michelle Troconis did not testify in her own defense during her trial in the Jennifer Farber Dulos disappearance and death case, and on Friday the defense rested, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The prosecution rested earlier in the week, and Stamford Superior Court Judge Kevin Randolph scheduled closing arguments for Tuesday.

Troconis faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder and related violations in the Dulos case. The trial has taken nearly six weeks, and will be in the jury's hands next week.

Jennifer Dulos, a 50-year-old mother of five, vanished from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019. Authorities believe she was murdered by her estranged husband, the late Fotis Dulos, though her body has never been found. The Duloses were in the midst of a bitter divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance.

Troconis was Fotis' girlfriend at the time, and was accused of assisting Fotis in the murder plot and attempted cover up. Authorities also accused Kent Mawhinney, a former of Fotis', of the same crime, and his trial is yet to be scheduled.

Mawhinney, who was expected to testify against Troconis, also did not testify in the trial.

Fotis Dulos never stood trial for the crime, because he died following a suicide attempt in January 2020.
