Webster Bank in Farmington Robbed: Police
Police are searching for the suspect after the robbery occurred early Saturday morning.
Farmington police are investigating after a reported robbery at Webster Bank Saturday morning.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the bank located at 2 High Street around 9:40 a.m. A man described by police as a heavy set black male around 6 to 6-feet-2 inches tall wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and maroon New York Yankees hat entered the bank and handed a note to the teller saying he was robbing the bank, police said.
The suspect allegedly gestured toward his waistband to indicate that he was armed. Police said no weapon was shown, only implied.

According to police, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the area on foot southbound on High Street. Officers established a perimeter and a K-9 track ensued.
The K-9 tracked south on High Street, but stopped abruptly in the area of 11 High Street indicating the suspect likely left in a waiting vehicle, police said. The area is being canvassed for more information and the scene is currently being processed by detectives.
