Accumulating Snow Forecast For Fairfield/New Haven Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Fairfield and New Haven counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Fairfield and New Haven counties as snow has begun to fall this morning and it could result in some minor accumulation. A Hazardous Weather Outlook has also been issued for the coast of Middlesex County.
For the coast of Fairfield, New Haven and Middlesex counties, the weather service says, "A quick moving low pressure system will result in light snow this morning which transitions to rain later this morning into early afternoon, with a low to moderate potential for a light snow accumulation before changeover to rain. A dusting to around an inch of snow is possible before a changeover to rain. Local snow amounts of 1 to 2 inches cannot be ruled out, particularly across southwest Connecticut. Hazardous travel conditions are possible in this area, particularly away from the south coasts."
For inland parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties, the weather service says, "A quick moving low pressure system poses a moderate to high potential for a light accumulating snowfall today. 1 to 2 inches of snowfall is likely in this area. There is a low potential for locally 2 to 4 inches of snow. Hazardous travel conditions are likely this morning into the afternoon."
