There's a lot of breaking news across Connecticut this morning, but we'll start with the weather forecast update for the remainder of the Labor Day weekend.
Saturday's weather was perfect but the forecast won't be as stellar for Sunday and Monday.

It looks like it will be mostly cloudy today with a chance for showers in the late afternoon and evening hours. The chance for showers rises tonight and continues into the morning hours on Labor Day. The good news is that the clouds will give way to periods of sun on Labor Day afternoon.
Neither day will be a washout, it just won't feel like Saturday's perfect weather day.

State Police calls for service this holiday weekend
The Connecticut State Police had 1,510 calls for service, assisted 93 motorists, responded to 96 accidents, 1 involving a serious injury and 1 involving a fatality, made 8 DUI arrests, issued 48 citations for speeding and 7 seatbelt citations over the past 24 hours.
They issued 62 citations for hazardous moving violations (to include: unsafe lane change, following too closely, move over, etc). These are reflective of the time period starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 4 to 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 5.
2021 Labor Day Weekend Enforcement Stats for the entire week thus far:
- Calls for service: 2,205
- Speeding: 105
- Seatbelt violations: 11
- Total traffic violations: 183
- DUI arrests: 14
- Accidents: 131
- Investigated: 121
- Serious Injuries: 1
- Fatalities: 2
Breaking news stories across Connecticut, Sunday
State Police detectives are investigating a home invasion that occurred at a residence during Saturday morning. State Police said a gun was displayed and money and jewelry were taken from the residence. (Read the full story here).
One person was killed after three motorcycles crashed in Berlin Saturday night, Fox 61 reports. A New Britain man, 67, was killed, and two others were injured. (Read the full story here).

A 23-year-old man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train, Fox 61 reports. The incident occurred near a highway. A total of 459 people were on board the train. No one on the train was injured. (Read the full story here).
An 81-year-old man driving a pickup truck was killed after his vehicle slammed into the back of a car on Interstate 91, prompting a 4-vehicle collision chain and closing the southbound side of the highway for about three hours, according to state police. (Read the full story here.)
The body of a male was found on bleachers behind a field in the 1000 block of Boston Avenue early Saturday morning, according to a local emergency official. Around 12:35 a.m., a citizen reported seeing a male hunched over on the bleachers. (Read the full story here.)
