Newtown Attorney Sentenced To Prison In $3.1M Tax Case (patch.com) — A Newtown-based attorney has been sentenced to 10 months in federal prison for failing to file tax returns and pay more than $3.1 million in taxes, penalties, and interest. Prosecutors say he earned over $5.6 million between 2013 and 2022 but repeatedly failed to file or fully pay, and he must now pay nearly $2.9 million in restitution.
