Additionally, Mayor Rilling has canceled all large events "on city-owned property, or sponsored by the City of Norwalk" through April 30.
"We are hopeful that we will not need to close schools due to the coronavirus," but parents should prepare for the possibility.
"Although there are no confirmed cases in our area, we should all take necessary precautions."
