• Connecticut police encounter left man paralyzed, $50M lawsuit alleges (wiltonbulletin.com) — A Norwich man's guardian is suing Waterford and several police officers for $50 million, alleging a 2024 encounter left him permanently paralyzed below the neck. The federal lawsuit claims officers escalated a dirt‑bike stop into excessive force, including a collision with a cruiser and Taser use while he lay bleeding, and argues his constitutional rights were violated.
