Navin Winks At Camera As Federal Gun Charges Against Him Are Dropped
Navin is accused of murdering his parents, Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin of Easton, with the help of his girlfriend Jennifer Valiante.

Superior Court Judge Robert Delvin announced in court Wednesday that Kyle Navin’s case is being continued until Jan. 20, 2016, according to the News Times.
Apparently this was enough to make Navin, 27, wink at a television camera focused on him in the court room.
John Smirga, Connecticut’s State Attorney confirmed that federal gun charges have been dismissed but Navin is still being held on $2.5 million bond. Navin had been charged by federal authorities with possession of firearms by a drug dependent person. Investigators found numerous vials of drugs and drug paraphernalia in a raid on his home in August 2015.
Kyle Navin is accused of killing and burying the bodies of his parents Jeffrey Navin, 56, president of J & J Refuse and his wife, Jeanette Navin, 55, a Weston Intermediate School library paraprofessional. They disappeared from their Easton home on Aug. 4, 2015 and their bodies were found buried beneath a tarp and debris of a vacant home in Weston on Oct. 29, 2015.
Police allege that Kyle Navin killed his parents with the help of his girlfriend, 31-year-old Jennifer Valiante.
Defense attorney Eugene Riccio is representing Kyle Navin in one of the highest-profile cases in Connecticut in years and is concerned his client may have a difficult time getting a fair trial, according to CBS New York News.
Navin is charged with two counts of murder and murder with special circumstances. His girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree hindering prosecution. She has denied having any involvement in the murders.
