Police Charge Man With Interfering With An Officer
When the man became combative with officers, he was handcuffed and arrested for interfering with an officer, police said.

WILTON, CT — Police charged a man with interfering with an officer outside his home last week.
An April 27, police responded to a report of a man vomiting, "stating he thought he was going to die."
Police say that Jonathan Damast, 44, of 9 Wilton Acres, charged at them from his doorway when they answered the call.

Damast refused to comply with orders and resisted officers, and "attempted to get up and go to the ambulance before it was parked refusing to comply with officers orders to remain seated," according to the police report.
When Damast became combative with officers, he was handcuffed and arrested for interfering with an officer, police said.

Damast was released in the field with a promise to appear June 30 before Norwalk Superior Court.
This was not Damast's first brush with law enforcement in Wilton. The night before, Damast told officers he was infected with COVID-19 while he was sitting in the middle of Danbury Road. In November 2019, police charged Damast with breach of peace after they say he rang door bells and yelled threats at residents over the course of several hours. Police also arrested Damast for a hit-and-run last June, and in January 2017.
