A landmark 125-seat New York-style family-owned deli and restaurant in Pompano Beach, Bagel Snack is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Jon and Thelma Simes, owners of the 25-year-old family-run business, didn’t invent the bagel, but do their very best to make and bake the best possible, from plain to poppy to “everything” bagels.
With a decidedly “Cheers” like atmosphere, servers at Bagel Snack greet customers by name and know their favorite dishes. Bagel Snack is renowned for its corned beef— served steamy hot, sliced thin and piled high between slices of fresh rye bread, with a couple of latkes (potato pancakes) or French fries on the side.
Customers also rave about the hand sliced Nova lox, solid white tuna mixed with Hellman’s Mayonnaise and salads with the freshest ingredients. At Bagel Snack, food is prepared fresh daily, with no additives. It’s neither processed or pre-cooked. And of course, delivery is available.
