Hillsborough Deputies Arrest 2 Wrong-Way Drivers
Both arrests came in the early morning hours Friday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has added two names to the growing list of wrong-way drivers arrested in the Tampa Bay area.
Both out-of-town drivers were arrested during the early morning hours Friday, an email from the sheriff’s office stated.
The first incident happened around 2:17 a.m. when deputies spotted Andy Tones, 41, of Miramar driving a 2005 Acura eastbound on the westbound lanes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

“Deputies stopped the vehicle and Tones displayed glassy and bloodshot eyes, (was) unsteady on his feet, appeared very confused and had the distinct odor alcoholic beverages on his breath,” the email said, adding that Tones’ blood alcohol level tested at .196.
The second arrest came around 4:43 a.m. when Alex Aragon, 35, of Atlanta was spotted driving a Honda east in the westbound lanes of Adamo Drive. Aragon told deputies he had been drinking.

Both men were charged with driving under the influence.
Wrong-way driving incidents have plagued the Tampa Bay area in recent months. Eleven people have died as a result of the behavior and numerous arrests have been made.
