The city says cart clutter is a top resident complaint and now requires cans be placed correctly by 7 a.m. on pickup day, removed the same day, and stored out of public view.

3. Want to cuddle giant, furry rodents? Capybara Café in Fort Lauderdale is opening this week (orlandosentinel.com) — Fort Lauderdale's Thrive District is getting a quirky new attraction as Capybara Café soft-opens Sept. 17, offering ticketed encounters with rescued capybaras and other exotic animals. The nonprofit sanctuary lets visitors book timed sessions, learn animal care from educators, and support local wildlife clinics, all from a 5,000-square-foot indoor petting space on Northwest Fifth Avenue.
   

4. Miamibloco brings the vibrant sounds of samba to The Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale (wsvn.com) — A high-energy samba show by Miami-based Miamibloco is heading to The Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale on Sept. 26, promising 30 rotating drummers on the historic stage. Organizers say the "From the Street to the Stage" performance will blend Brazilian carnival rhythms with Caribbean drum traditions, inviting the audience to get out of their seats and dance along.
   

5. Aleksander Barkov is back and the Florida Panthers have a ton of motivation entering training camp (wsvn.com) — Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov is back skating in Fort Lauderdale after recovering from major knee surgery, giving the team fresh momentum as training camp opens. The back‑to‑back Stanley Cup champions return much of their core and enter camp as betting favorites, with Barkov stressing not taking any practice or game for granted after missing last season.
